It’s Rocky like you’ve never seen him before.

Sylvester Stallone unveiled a batch of rare photos from the set of the American classic Rocky IV on Wednesday, showing off the actor taking punches from Dolph Lundgren’s imposingly jacked Soviet boxer Ivan Drago and even stepping behind the camera during the filming of the 1985 Cold War cinematic classic.

In his posts, Stallone wrote that he’d never seen some of the pictures before, and that it was “always a pleasure being smashed” by Lundgren while filming the movie.

All the Rocky movies have great training montages, but the one from Rocky IV—scrambling up mountains, high-stepping logs through snow, “Dragon flags” in a barn—takes the cake.
