You were a figure competitor before turning to bikini, and you won the first bikini contest at the Olympia. How do you account for such a smooth transition?

I feel more in my comfort zone. I feel sassy. I’m a smaller girl and curvier. It just fits my body better. I was on cloud nine winning the Olympia, and I really hope to do it again.

Backstage, is it tough being a frontrunner and having a bull’s-eye on you?

I think it’s tough backstage no matter what. We’re all there to compete and win and kick everyone else’s ass, but you don’t have to be a bitch. There can be a lot of attitude. People just look at you and don’t want to talk to you. That’s not what it’s about. Just be nice. Be a humble person.

Away from competitions, your level of fitness must be intimidating to a lot of guys.

Yeah, it can be intimidating. I can read people really well—whether they’re there for the right reasons or just what’s on the outside. When I am on a first date, I know right away if it’s going anywhere. Look, the bottom line is just treat me like a woman. I get bored really easily, so I need someone who can keep up. My mind is always going.
