In a sensational performance, Conor McGregor (19-2 MMA, 7-0 UFC) became the undisputed UFC featherweight champion on Saturday night when he ko’ed Jose Aldo (25-2 MMA, 7-1 UFC) after just 13 seconds of the first round.

Before the fight, McGregor looked calm and ready in a packed MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas while Aldo seemed tense. The longtime featherweight champ did not lock eyes with McGregor until the fight started. When it did, this happened:

“It would have been nice if the contest had stretched out a little longer. I still feel the same process would have happening. Timing beets speed, precision beats power,” said McGregor after the fight. In the other title fight on the card, Luke Rockhold became the new UFC middleweight champion of the world when he beat Chris Weidman by fourth round TKO.
