Dave Bautista’s acting resume just got an impressive 007 upgrade when director Sam Mendes announced that the former Muscle & Fitness cover guy would star in the new Bond movie Spectre, which is due out around this time next year.

“Fresh off a triumph and a wonderful performance in Guardians of the Galaxy, playing Mr. Hinx, Mr. David Bautista,” was how Mendes introduced the WWE star at the cast unveiling at the Pinewood Studios in London. Daniel Craig reprises the lead role of James Bond in the 34th installment of the famous spy franchise. Ralph Fiennes returns as M, as do Ben Whishaw (Q) Rory Kinnear (Tanner) and Naomie Harris (Moneypenny), while Andrew Scott joins the team as Denbigh. The Bond Girls for this movie are Monica Bellucci and Léa Seydoux, and two-time Oscar winner Christoph Waltz will also play a major role.

No real plot details were divulged, but it might be fair to assume that Bautista might play the role of a strongman given his obvious attributes. The 45-year-old took to Twitter to tell his fans the news with a twist of humor:

The WWE was quick to congratulate one of their own:

Congrats Dave, more power to you! We can’t wait to see you kick some Bond butt next year!
