Carl Yngvar Christensen reportedly sets a new world record with this insane feat of strength.
Carl Yngvar Christensen came up big in the moment at the International Powerlifting Federation’s World Championships in Stavanger, Norway, when he performed a 1,047-pound squat. Christensen was competing in the 120kg+ (264.555 lb+) division, and though the squat has to be verified by the IPF, if it is ratified it will be the new record.
As you see in the video, the home support inspired the 23-year-old powerlifter to the new high. Check out the awesome footage complete with the enthusiastic commentators. Way to go, Carl!
