There’s another reason to love Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Just yesterday after a workout, The Rock was driving and spotted a few kids screaming and running after his truck. He stopped, and one kid in particular told “The Rock” how much he had been hoping to meet him. Turns out the kid, Nick Miller, had Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, which is a cancer of the lymphatic system. When your body is fighting an infection, it’s normal for your lymph nodes to swell up. But in Nick’s case his body is thinking that he’s constantly fighting an infection; the lymph node cells multiply and produce cancerous cells, which invade other tissues.

Simply Awesome

Nick told “The Rock” that he’s his inspiration to beat the cancer. It was a truly fitting story for this past holiday. And it was also opening weekend for “Fast & Furious 7,” which took the domestic box office by storm with $143.6 million. By passing last April’s record of $95 million by “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” Furious 7 made it the biggest opening yet for this year. It sounds like “The Rock” had an extremely grateful weekend.
