Rousey has been expanding her talents from the octagon ring to the big screen; she will be starring in the MGM’s remake of the 1980’s classic, Road House. The fighter is set to play Patrick Swayze’s character — the bouncer who is hired to clean up the unruly bar in Missouri, The Double Deuce.

In the 1989 original film, Swayze’s character had to protect the town from a fraudulent businessman. It was a hit then, and is considered a classic today.

Rousey is honored to play the role, and according to Variety she asked Swayze’s widow, Lisa Niemi, for her blessing. Niemi gave her a yes.

But Rousey is no stranger to the big screen, she has appeared in Furious 7 and Entourage, and it will be her fourth film project after her biopic, My Fight/Your Fight. She is also working on The Athena Project and Mile 22

Production for Road House is expected to start after her fight against Holly Holm on Nov. 14.
