Vido Loncar lost the run of himself and disgraced his sport and country when he attacked a referee after a fight at the European Youth Boxing Championships in Zagreb. The Croatian was clearly angered that the referee stopped his fight against Lithuania’s Algirdas Baniulis, but that cannot excuse what happened.

During the bout, Baniulis was getting the better of the exchanges, and though Loncar was returning fire, the referee decided to give him a standing count. Loncar gestured in frustration, and at the end of the count, the referee took a close look at the fighter in red and decided to call a halt to proceedings.

Both guys return to their respective corners and have their gloves removed, but as Loncar approaches the ref for the official decision, he loses it and lashes out with a right that floors the official. Baniulis gets out of the ring fast and then a bit of a brawl ensues. Check it out:
