Rob Gronkowski has had lots of interests off the field—party buses, straight-up partying, his Gronk Fitness equipment company—but those have nothing on his next venture.

Gronk wants to be a movie star.

The All-Pro New England Patriots tight end is starring in the crime thriller You Can’t Have It as a police officer alongside his brother Daniel Gronkowski.

The plot of the film sounds like it suits Gronk pretty well, according to IMDB: “On the night that his favorite bar, Mr. Phil’s Bar, is closing, Bill Sullivan, his wife Tammy, and their friends experience life-changing events, which include betrayal, sex, murder and infidelity. It’s a night full of twists and turns, good times, as well as the bad. The night ends with these characters knowing just what it is ‘you can’t have.’ Last call takes on a whole new meaning.”

So y’know: Just Gronk being Gronk.

The film definitely doesn’t exactly sound like Oscar bait, but it does promise not to take itself too seriously, even though most of the movie will take place in a bar where “happy hour just got serious”:

The second trailer shows off a little more Gronk action:

Gronkowski has said that he wants to get into acting more. In fact, he already has a few roles under his belt, including a spot in the Entourage movie and an appearance as a bodyguard in  American Violence with Bruce Dern.

Gronkowski had the time of his life at the Super Bowl celebration parade for the Patriots, but if that whole NFL thing doesn’t work out—unlikely, we know—then Hollywood could easily be next.
