Given the fact that, early on in his career, Zac Efron was best known for his role in High School Musical (which even “The Rock” pokes fun at in Baywatch), it’s safe to say that the former Disney Channel star has come quite a long way, not just in terms of his career, but also his fitness (check out his intense, beach-ready Baywatch workout here) and cool factor.

During a Wednesday night appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the shredded actor took his cool factor (at least in our opinion) up a notch when he revealed that he’s a huge UFC fan. Not only that, he’s a “big fan of Conor McGregor” in particular.

On the show, Kimmel asked Efron why he was photographed sitting next to Madonna at a UFC fight at Madison Square Garden. Efron gave a “shoutout to Conor,” who he was excited to watch ringside at the fight, and told Kimmel that he just so happened to be seated next to the pop music legend. Apparently, Madonna knows a thing or two about the UFC, according to Efron. “She was calling out things about the fight” and “having the time of her life out there,” Efron told Kimmel.

So, if we had to guess, we bet Efron (and maybe even Madonna) will have prime seating if the fight between McGregor (his “side of the deal is done,” according to Dana White) and Floyd Mayweather ever actually happens.
