It’s been ten years since Kanye West dropped his first hit album The College Dropout, and since then, he’s been pushing his way into the spotlight via his impeccable music production and his outspoken views. Whether it’s winning more awards than we can count, to blurting out that George W. Bush “doesn’t care about black people,” or interrupting a young Taylor Swift in the middle of an acceptance speech to tell her she doesn’t deserve her award, he’s made a name for himself for being a real…well, prick, but a talented prick nonetheless.

Even though he’s his own biggest fan, it doesn’t change the fact that he’s got an ear for get-you-off-your-ass and attack a new PR beats, so we’ll overlook his many personal flaws to pay tribute to the awesome music that comes from his oddball ways.

The College Dropout was one of the biggest albums of the year when it was released in 2003, and ten years, seven albums and a whopping 21 Grammy wins later, he’s still going strong, motivating us and keeping our heart rate up when we hit the weights.
