Who knew that golf could be such a dangerous sport? Well, at least for birds.

An unsuspecting bird flying over the 18th hole of a golf course in Sawgrass, FL, was struck (and killed) by amateur golfer Ryan Gray—and it was captured on video. The once-in-a-lifetime moment was posted to Instagram by Gray’s friend, Todd Shannon, who said, “For those who think this was intentional or fake, take off your foil hat and go make some friends.”

But in all fairness, the footage is pretty unbelievable (although we’re not doubting its validity), and those who witnessed the shot were equally shocked. In the video, you can hear an onlooker in the background say, “Oh my god, did that just happen?” After which another bystander voices their disbelief, commenting, “Are you kidding me?”
