Jen Welter made history this summer by being the first female coach in the NFL. She worked with the linebackers of the Arizona Cardinals during training camp as a preseason intern coach.

Now that preseason has come to a close, Welter is making moves elsewhere…walking Floyd Mayweather out to the ring for his fight against Andre Berto on September 12. When Mayweather heard the news of her making history, his team offered her ringside seats for the upcoming fight. 

She tweeted on September 4 to confirm the gossip.

Mayweather has a history of domestic violence, which has triggered some concerns as to why Welter has accepted the invitation. But Welter sees this as an opportunity and tweeted her reason for accepting:
