Rousey Returns to Gym for First Time Since Loss

The former champ says she still has Holly Holm in her sights for 2016.

Ronda Rousey is getting back to work. After suffering a devastating head kick in her loss to Holly Holm, the former bantamweight champ said it would take three to six months before she could take impact or even eat an apple. It’s been about three months since the former champ lost her belt and judging by shots from TMZ Sports, her recovery is right on track.

Rousey raised a few questions earlier this year when she pushed back her UFC return, which at the time was targeting this summer. She wanted to take a hiatus to focus more on her entertainment career, a statement to her credit, she made before losing her title to Holly Holm. Naturally, Rousey retirement rumors began to swirl but she put them to rest saying she's just waiting to see what options she'll have for a rematch later this year.

In the meantime, the plot is thickening. Holm matches up against Rousey's nemesis Meisha Tate at UFC 196. We don't know who will come out on top, but we're sure Rousey will be ready.
