Pound-for-pound boxing king Floyd Mayweather (45-0, 26 KOs) will fight Marcos Maidana (35-3, 31KOs) at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas this Saturday night on a Showtime PPV card. Mayweather is a huge favorite going into the fight, and though Maidana is a respected and worthy champion who has earned the right to fight the biggest star in boxing, not many are picking him to cause an upset this weekend.

Maidana is a tough heavy-handed fighter from Argentina who bullied and bludgeoned Adrien Broner in his last fight. After Friday’s weigh in, Mayweather told Brian Kenny of Showtime that Maidana would not have it so easy when he steps up another level to fight him.

Maidana weighed in at 146.5 pounds:

Mayweather tipped the scales at 146 pounds.

Mayweather’s preparations have been impacted by some personal issues arising from the circumstances surrounding the break up of his relationship with his former fiancee. Mayweather says that he has remained focused on the fight at hand, but the real test will be when the first bell rings. So, who do you fancy to prevail? Will the Money train keep on rolling or will Maidana shock the world and win the fight? Let us know what you think. In the meantimes, check out the highlights from the weigh-in:
