Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone are working overtime this week as they promote The Escape Plan, which opens this Friday. As they work the media outlets, some hilarious pearls of information have emerged.

One such gem was unearthed during an interview between the two and Access Hollywood, when Arnold went into detail on some of the more outrageous ideas that were floated to the action stars.

“The interesting thing really, is that for decades, they’ve tried to put us together in a movie and the scripts were horrible,” said the Muscle & Fitness executive editor, who was in Madrid recently for the Arnold Classic Europe.

“One movie wanted us to be undercover agents in drag, and another movie wanted us to change from human beings to animals,” added the seven-time Mr. Olympia champion. “So he was the dog and I was the cat, and we were fighting each other. It was some comedy. It was all this ludicrous stuff.”

The phrase “undercover agents in drag,” teamed up with the names Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone, really does evoke some far-out images, but at least if it were ever to happen, the world would be able to check out the action stars’ toned calves and legs.

Unfortunately, it may never come to pass, but at least we know that someone out there took time to write a script about it! In the meantime, starting this Friday, we will get the chance to see both men share screen time in The Escape Plan. Enjoy!
