Quadruped Leg Raise

The quadruped leg raise is a warm-up and core stabilization exercise that strengthens the entire abdominal region in addition to the glutes and hamstrings.

Instructions

  1. 954_A
    Get on all fours, your knees bent at 90 degrees. Keeping the back straight so that your body forms a line from your head to your hips. Keep your hands planted flat on the ground. This is your starting position.
  2. Quadruped Leg Raise
    Relax your core so that your lower back and abdomen are in their natural positions. Without allowing your lower-back posture to change, raise one leg with knee bent until your thigh is in line with your body. Hold and then return to starting position.

Trainer’s Tips

  • Keep your hands planted flat on the ground.
  • Do not let the hips sag.
