Cluster Set Basics

Trying cluster sets for the first time? Here are some tips.

  • Divide reps into three subsets. Rest 15 to 20 seconds between sets.
  • Cluster sets allow you to total more reps than you could with continuous reps.
  • Stay in the three-to-five rep range.
  • Take the final set to failure.
