After over seven years as a professional fighter, Brian Stann announced that he was stepping down from the UFC Octagon. In this exclusive video, the Marine and decorated war hero spoke to Muscle & Fitness about his tough decision. Ultimately, it was family that made him choose to retire. “I have been a guy who has taken headshots for a long time. As we have seen with more recent studies on concussions, I’ve got my third child being born this fall. I have to be careful,” he said. “More importantly than anything else, my main job is to go home and be a father and a husband.”

Stann is leaving to pursue a career in broadcasting.
