ENTRY DEADLINE

All entries (applications) must be postmarked no later than, Wednesday, June 27, 2012.

ENTRY FORM

The application page must be fully completed and signed.

If you are under 18 years of age, make sure that it is signed by your parent or guardian.

Send a money order – no checks – to pay for your entry fee.

Downloadable entry forms for Bodybuilding/Physique and for Figure/Bikini/Fitness are available.

ENTRY FEES

Money order made payable to GMU PRODUCTIONS. Checks will not be accepted.
Bodybuilding/Figure/Bikini/Fitness/Physique – $150.00 for each division entered.

 

CONTEST VENUE AND HOST HOTEL

The host hotel and the contest venue is the SHERATON HOTEL – STATION SQUARE.

Call 412-261-2000 for reservations. Mention the “NPC Bodybuilding Contest” to get the Special Contest Rate.

The deadline for the Special Contest Rate is Monday, June 11, 2012. Rooms will not be available after this date. Please reserve your rooms early!

PLEASE NOTE – Your reservation will require a one night non-refundable deposit.

 

CHECK-IN/WEIGH-IN: SHERATON HOTEL – STATION SQUARE

Thursday, July 19, 2012 – 4:00 to 7:00 pm – MANDATORY Weigh-In/Check-In for ALL women competitors. ALL women MUST check-in at this time! OPTIONAL Early Weigh-In/Check-In for Men competitors.

Friday, July 20, 2012 – 8:00 am to 10:00 am – LATE Weigh-In/Check-In for MEN competitors only.
 

 

HOW TO QUALIFY

Bodybuilding competitors need only to have entered a previous NPC
contest, no matter what the year, no matter what the placing, no matter what the category – Teen, Novice, Collegiate, Masters, Open, etc.

Figure, Fitness, Bikini and Physique competitors are not required to pre-qualify for this event.

 

IFBB PRO QUALIFIER – Pro cards are awarded

OVERALL WINNERS – These Overall winners are eligible for an IFBB pro card: Men BB Over 50, Men BB Over 60, Men BB Over 70, Women BB Over 35, Women BB Over 45, Women BB Over 55, Figure Over 55.

TOP 2 PLACERS – The top 2 placers in the Overalls of the following Divisions are eligible for an IFBB pro card: Men BB Over 35, Men BB Over 40.

TOP 3 PLACERS – The top 3 placers in the Overall of Figure Over 45.

CLASS WINNERS – The Class winners of the following Divisions are eligible for an IFBB pro card: Figure Over 35, Bikini Over 35, Men Physique Over 35, Men Physique Over 40, Women Physique Over 35 and Women Physique Over 45.

 

NPC MEMBERSHIP

All contestants must be registered as athletes with the computer service of the NPC National Physique Committee as of June 20, 2012. For an application, contact the NPC at PO Box 3711, Pittsburgh, PA 15230 412-276-5027 or npcfirst@aol.com.

Competitors MAY NOT register for an NPC card at the Check-In/Weigh-In.

US CITIZENSHIP

ALL competitors MUST be a US citizen to enter this event and proof MUST be sent with entry (copy of birth certificate, voter registration, or military discharge).

You MUST NOT be currently under suspension by the NPC.

*Competitors who have competed in the NPC Teen, Collegiate and Masters Nationals before are not required to send proof of citizenship.

 

PROOF OF AGE AND STUDENT STATUS

Proof of age is best accomplished by birth certificate.

Teens

Teen Men Bodybuilding, Teen Men Physique, Teen Figure and Teen Bikini competitors must be 19 years of age and under on the date of the contest and must submit proof of age with entry.

Masters Men Bodybuilders

Masters Men competitors must be 35 years of age or older, 40 years of age or older, 50 years of age or older, 60 years of age or older, 70 years of age or older and 80 years of age or older on the date of the contest and must submit proof of age with entry.

Masters Men Physique

Masters Men Physique competitors must be 35 years of age or older and 40 years of age or older on the date of the contest and must submit proof of age with entry.

Masters Women Bodybuilders

Masters Women bodybuilding competitors must be 35 years of age or older, 45 years of age or older, 55 years of age or older and 65 years of age or older on the date of the contest and must submit proof of age with entry.

Masters Figure

Masters Figure competitors must be 35 years of age or older, 45 years of age or older and 55 years of age or older on the date of the contest and must submit proof of age with entry.

Masters Bikini and Masters Fitness

Competitors must be 35 years of age or older on the date of the contest and must submit proof of age with entry.

Masters Women Physique

Competitors must be 35 years of age or older and 45 years of age and older on the date of the contest.

*Competitors who have competed in the NPC Masters Nationals before are not required to send proof of age.

Collegiate entrants

Collegiate Bodybuilding, Physique and Figure competitors must be 25 years of age and under as of the date of the contest and must submit proof of age with entry.

Collegiate competitors must submit documentation from a university or college attesting to their student status. Part-time student status is satisfactory.

 

PROFESSIONAL SPRAY TANNING, HAIR AND MAKE-UP

The tanning experts at JAN TANA will spray-tan you, in the convenience of the host hotel, using state-of-the-art full body airbrush spray. They also provide expert services for your hair and make-up.

PLEASE NOTE — No one other than JAN TANA is permitted to perform spray tanning within the confines of the Sheraton – Station Square. Any competitor who gets spray tanned by someone other than JAN TANA within the confines of the Sheraton – Station Square will be disqualified. NO EXCEPTIONS!

 

MUSIC

Music must be on a CD. All contestants MUST supply their own music.

** PLEASE NOTE!All Bodybuilding CDs will be collected at the competitors Check-Ins/Weigh-Ins. 

 

POSING and AWARDS

All Figure and Bikini competitors will be introduced at the Finals.

ALL Bodybuilding, Fitness and Physique competitors will pose at the Finals. Bodybuilding and Physique routines will be limited to 60 seconds.

The top five in each weight or height class will be awarded trophies plus an overall award where there are multiple classes.

 

MICROWAVES

Microwaves will be provided for your use in the host hotel along with a Special Bodybuilding Menu. Competitors are not permitted to have cooking devices in their rooms.

 

NO DUMBBELLS OR WEIGHTS BACKSTAGE

Dumbbells are not permitted in the Pump-Up Area.

Competitors are advised to bring exercise bands to pump up.

 

TRAINERS PASSES

You can have your Trainer with you at all times in the Pump-up Area.

Trainers Pass – $100. The Trainer must also purchase a ticket to the event.

The Trainer must be a member of the NPC. NPC cards will be available only at the weigh-ins – $100, cash only.

Trainers ARE NOT permitted to apply oil or color in the Pump-up Area or in any area associated with the event.

 

TICKETS

A ticket order form can be downloaded so that you can order tickets in advance for your family and friends.

Tickets can be ordered by completing the order form and mailing it to Gary Udit, PO Box 16424, Pittsburgh, PA 15242 with a money order payable to GMU PRODUCTIONS. Please place your order as soon as possible to reserve the best seats.

No personal checks will be accepted. No tickets will be mailed after June 22, 2012. Ticket orders received after June 22 may be picked up at Will Call.

 

TRAVEL FROM THE AIRPORT

You will not need a rental car during your stay. Once you get to the venue you will find that the Sheraton – Station Square Complex includes everything you will require as a competitor and also everything to provide entertainment for your friends and family.

The Station Square Complex includes a variety of restaurants, bars, nightclubs and shopping. Downtown Pittsburgh is a short walk across the Smithfield Street Bridge.

ROUNDS OF COMPETITION

FITNESS – 3 Rounds of competition

Presentation Round – Each competitor performs a front stance and 3 model stances.

Comparison Round – Competitors will be directed to do quarter turns in a group.

Fitness Routine Round – Maximum 2-minutes. The stage is 12' x 40'. There are no required moves.

FIGURE DIVISION – 2 Rounds of competition. Wearing a 2-piece Swimsuit with heels.

Presentation Round – Each competitor performs a Front Stance and 3 model stances.

Comparison Round – Competitors will be directed to do quarter turns in a group.

BIKINI DIVISION – 2 Rounds of competition

Wearing a 2-piece Swimsuit with heels.

Presentation Round – Each competitor has 10 seconds to present themselves in the stances of their choice.

Comparison Round – Competitors will be directed to do turns to the front and back.

MEN PHYSIQUE DIVISION – 2 Rounds of competition

Wearing board shorts

Presentation Round – Each compatitor has 10 seconds to present themselves in stances with a hand on their hip.

Comparison Round – Contestants will be brought out in a group and directed to do stances to the front and back.

WOMEN PHYSIQUE DIVISION – 1 Round of competition

Comparison Round – Contestants will be brought out in a group and directed to 5 Mandatory Poses.

 

CROSSOVERS

Competitors are permitted to crossover into additional age groups within a Division as long as their age is within the required limits. There is an additional entry fee for each class entered.

Competitors are not permitted to crossover to a different Division.
