Heidi Fletcher won the first pro contest of her career on Saturday night, besting a tough field at the New York Pro Fitness Championships at the Tribeca Performing Arts at Manhattan Community College.

A year ago, Fletcher came up just short of winning the New York Pro, placing second behind eventual winner Julie Shipley-Childs. In the process, Fletcher qualified for the Fitness Olympia for the second time since turning pro by winning the overall title at the 2005 NPC Nationals.

Trish Warren and Nicole Wilkins finished second and third, respectively, and also earned qualifying spots to the Fitness Olympia. The runner-up finish was the highest placing of Warren’s career. Wilkins, on the other hand, made her professional fitness debut a successful one. The 25-year-old rookie earned her pro card at last year’s Team Universe by winning the overall titles in both fitness and figure, marking the first time in NPC history a competitor managed to accomplish that feat. Wilkins competed in the Ms. Figure International in March, placing 11th.
