Jose Raymond was born December 29th, 1974 in Boston, Massachusetts. At age 8 Jose was taken away by the state…Eventually the Raymond family, in Wakefield Massachusetts, adopted Jose and his brother Tito.

Jose and Tito both excelled in sports at a young age. Soccer, football, wrestling, baseball, basketball, and track…to name a few. Jose's social worker suggested he lift weights to "burn of stress."

By the age of 12, Jose was working out regularly…13 years old…5'4", 150 pounds, very muscular…Sophomore year of high school…benching 315 pounds. It wasn't until 18 when Jose caught the bodybuilding bug.

"My brother Tito convinced me to compete with him in the New England Bodybuilding Championships. I won the teenage division in front of what seemed like a few thousand people and I have been hooked ever since." – Jose Raymond

Since then Jose has placed in the top 6 17 times in the IFBB, won 6 IFBB Professional Shows including the 2014 IFBB New Zealand Championship. He has placed 4th at the Mr. Olympia in the 212 class, and it is his goal to be crowned the 212lbs Mr. Olympia!
