Julian Newman, 11, may be small in stature, but his star is rising in the world of high school basketball. A recent profile in the New York Times has shone a national light on the player, and this YouTube video showcases his awesome skills and how capable he is of dominating guys a foot taller and few years older.

Julian is only 4’5″ and plays for Downey Christian College School in Florida.  The Times piece recounts that some teams due to play Downey pull out because they are afraid to suffer defeat.  Julian has got this good by dedicating himself to the sport, training at all hours and showing an unbelievable work ethic. Not only is he kid a straight shooter, but he also shoots straight A’s in class.
