Medicine Ball Overhead Throws

The medicine ball overhead throw is a dynamic exercise that targets the shoulders, back, and core while increasing stability and flexibility throughout the spine.

Instructions

    Stand 2-3 feet away from the wall with your feet hip-width apart and a medicine ball held overhead.
  2. Medicine Ball Overhead Throws
    Tighten your abs, bring the medicine ball behind your head with both hands and thrust your arms forward, throwing it as hard as you can. Catch the ball on the rebound and return to starting position.

Trainer’s Tips

  • Be sure to keep core contracted throughout entire movement.
  • Do not allow your chin to drop below parallel to floor.
  • Perform the exercise as fast and explosively as possible.
