Erik Fankhouser

Erik ‘The House’ Fankhouser grew up an all-star athlete.

 

While studying at West Liberty State College in West Virginia, he played football assuming a fullback position and participated in track and field excelling in events including shot put, discus, hammer and javelin. But Fankhouser soon turned his attention to bodybuilding. A move that enabled him to make West Virginia, and bodybuilding history;  Fankhouser is the state’s first native to become a professional bodybuilder.

 

 

He won his first competitive bodybuilding tournament, the 2004 NPC Upper Ohio Valley, placing first in the junior division. His first pro event was the 2008  Europa Super Show, where he placed 10th, but won both the  Europa Super Show.

 

Fankhouser, when not competing, works as an exercise physiologist at Wheeling Hospital.
