The truly great ones stand the test of time and come December 7–8, they will prove why their names will never be forgotten as they battle for the right to become the 2012 IFBB Masters Olympia champion. “This year’s event will be even bigger and better now that we are joining forces with the IFBB Pro League and the Olympia,” said promoter Jarka Lorie Schneider, who promoted last year’s Masters Pro World Championships. “It will be very exciting. The total prize money for the event is $250,000 and I know that the competitors will show up in the shape of their lives to give the fans a real treat.”
This spectacular, season-ending event will take place in the exotic city of Prague, Czech Republic, and will include the 2012 IFBB Women’s Pro World Fitness, Figure and Bikini Championships and the World Sport & Fitness Expo/Festival. “The Masters Olympia is a great addition to the 2012 season,” said IFBB Pro League Chairman, Jim Manion. “It’s an opportunity for veteran athletes who still have the competitive fire to stand on stage once again. Fans will see the bodybuilders that they grew up reading about in the magazines and get to honor the past generations that have helped make the sport of bodybuilding what it is today. In addition, the Pro World Fitness, Figure and Bikini Championships will shine the spotlight on the world’s top female athletes. Having such an event in Prague is another testament to how the IFBB is expanding throughout Europe to bring bodybuilding to fans all over the world.”
