Melvin Anthony, 2010 IFBB Phoenix Pro champ, returns to Golds Gym, Venice, to hit his chest, biceps, and legs just 10 days before the 2010 Arnold Classic. His focus is on maintaining muscularity while pulling in eye-catching detail. To accomplish this feat, he starts off bombing his chest with incline dumbbell press, smith machine flat bench press, hammer strength decline press and flat machine flys. He then takes a moment to help inspire and educate 19 year old Seth Sandler in Gold’s gym posing room. Returning to his gut-blasting routine, Melvin decides to tackle biceps, starting with standing cable curls and followed by dumbbell hammer curls and hammer strength machine curls. Then, just when you think that that he is done, he decides to enlist the help of the legendary Charles Glass and performs grueling single-leg lunges on the hack squat supersetted with step-ups followed by a final set of hack squat stiff-leg deadlifts.

Melvin starts his pec-blasting routine with incline dumbbell presses. He warms up with 45’s, working his way through 4 sets of 8-12 reps up to 125’s.
Melvin loads up with 125-pound dumbbells. He is assisted by Eli Blahut, 2009 NPC Excalibur Welterweight champion.

Melvin then moves onto Smith Machine flat bench press and goes right into 225-pounds, knocking out a well controlled 4 sets of 12-15 reps.

Next in Melvin’s pec blasting routine is Hammer Strength decline presses, where he decides to pump out 4 sets of 8-12 reps moving up to 6 plates total on his last two sets.
Melvin kindly takes a picture with an appreciative fan.
Melvin then finishes off what is left of his chest by moving onto flat bench machine flys. He maximizes his pump by repping out four controlled sets of 12-15 reps with 25lbs on each side.

Melvin decides to start hammering his biceps with standing cable curls, working his way down the stack for 4 sets of 12-15 reps.

Melvin decides to finish off his biceps with Hammer Strength preacher curls flexing through 4 controlled sets of 12-15 reps with 60 pounds.
