Bodybuilding may be the most individualist sport, but the placings all come down to comparisons. The Mr. Olympia is all about how each man stacks up against his peers when they start trading poses. Of the 45 previous Mr. Olympia contests, we’ve selected the 22 winners who best distinguished themselves from the contenders. These are “the dominators”. Now it’s up to you to determine who dominated the most.

This isn’t about the best physique, for clearly today’s Jay Cutler would overwhelm yesterday’s Larry Scott with sheer size. This is about who best dominated the best bodybuilders of their era. From the year (1968) Sergio Oliva scared away everyone and won unopposed to when Frank Zane slew the mass monsters with a new standard of definition (1979) to when Ronnie Coleman reinvented himself as a nearly 300-pound juggernaut (2003), they’re all here. But which of these 22 Mr. Olympia contests had the most dominant victor? That’s for you to decide.
