John Cena exacted revenge on The Rock for his WM28 loss by winning the main event at WrestleMania 29. The event, which took place at the Metlife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, turned out to be a great night for professional wresting with some 80,600 fans there in-person to enjoy the spectacle.
“I feel so great. I feel as if a three-year burden is off my back. I am exhausted. I left it all out there,” a spent Cena told WWE.com afterwards.
In one of the other big matchups of the night, Brock Lesnar was unable to send Triple H into retirement when the latter pinned him down after executing his trademark Pedigree move to perfection. With the victory, Triple H, who is also WWE’s Chief Operating Officer, can continue to fight should he choose to.
