The FDA released a statement this week recalling peanut, almond and nut butters by some brands because of fears that they may be tainted with salmonella. The statement reads: “nSPIRED Natural Foods, Inc. Voluntarily Recalls Certain Retail Lots Of Arrowhead Mills® Peanut Butters, Maranatha® Almond Butters And Peanut Butters And Specific Private Label Nut Butters Because Of Possible Health Risk.”

The FDA also posted a customer support number for the general public at 1-800-937-7008. Visit the FDA’s page for the complete list of products on the recall list. Some of the stores impacted by the recall include Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, Safeway and Kroger.
