Undefeated UFC Heavyweight rising star, Shane Carwin, joins Larry Pepe tonight (Monday, March 2) on Pro MMA Radio. Carwin, who is featured as one of the UFC’s 10 Heaviest Hitters in the April issue of FLEX Magazine, is just days out from the biggest fight of his career at UFC 96, this Saturday (March 7).
A former Division II National Collegiate Wrestling Champion, Carwin has never had a fight go past the midpoint of the first round, amassing a ten-fight win streak. It was this Tyson-esque penchant for stopping the show early that earned Carwin a No. 8 ranking in FLEX’s “10 Heaviest Hitters In The UFC” feature in this month’s issue. Carwin will take on former No. 1 contender Gabriel Gonzaga in a fight that has serious title implications and will be the co-main event of the evening.
