Superstar SYLVESTER STALLONE’s family rocked by tragedy as his son SAGE dies suddenly from a suspected drug overdose.
SAGE MOONBLOOD STALLONE, 36, was discovered dead in his Hollywood home on Mulloholland Terrace, Sage’s attorney George Braunstein confirmed.
“He was found dead at his home,” Braunstein told the NY Post. “He was in good spirits, and working on all kinds of projects.
“He was planning on getting married. I am just devastated. He was an extremely wonderful, loving guy. This is a tragedy.”
Sage’s mother Sasha Czack has been informed, Brainstein said. Yesterday, Sly had been at the San Diego Comic-Con to promote his latest film “The Expendables 2”.
Sage made his acting debut alongside his dad in “Rocky V” and "Daylight" and had moved on to a writing and directing career. Sage was hard at work on launching a home video ditribution company Grindhouse devoted to B-movie exploitation flicks.
Reports are saying Sage may have died from a possible OD from prescription pills. The cause of Sage’s death is currently under investigation by LA police. "There is no suspicion of foul play or criminal activity", LAPD said, adding police went to the home for a “welfare check,” when someone couldn’t get in touch with Sage and asked police to investigate.
"Sylvester Stallone is devastated and grief-stricken over the sudden loss of his son," publicist Michelle Bega told media in a statement. "His compassion and thoughts are with Sage's mother, Sasha."
Our deepest sympathies to the Stallone family in your time of loss.
