The Olympia Fitness and Performance Weekend brings together the best and brightest from around the world, and that doesn’t only apply to the athletes flexing on stage. Celebrities and influencers of all kinds want to be a part of the Olympia experience, a reality that’s placing new fans and fresh eyes on the event regarded as the most prestigious of the year.

Kalli Locklear will be seen making the rounds, interviewing athletes, fans and celebs throughout the weekend, and she’s looking forward to it.

Locklear shared, “I get to showcase some incredible athletes and tell their stories beyond their performance.”

An Athletic Foundation

Locklear was born and raised outside of Detroit, Michigan and competed in gymnastics at level 10, which is the level just before someone reaches professional status. Locklear was also on the cheer team at Liberty University, along with her sister. She competed at a national level in both sports, which helped her establish a very high personal standard of excellence.

Competing in sports like gymnastics and cheerleading takes extreme commitment, which is why she can relate to the athletes who she will see walk across the Olympia stage. Locklear appreciates the weeks of preparation bodybuilders and physique athletes have been putting in to be their best in front of the judges.

“That’s why I respect the sport so much. I know how much dedication it takes beyond the physical to reach the highest level.”

Background and Entry Into Modeling

The qualities Locklear has and admires of the Olympia athletes are keys to her breakthrough into modeling, which came while she was in Miami, Florida. She was asked by an agent to go to a casting for a swimsuit model at the illustrious Miami Swim Week. Her first experience modeling was a very high-profile event, and Locklear soon realized there could be more beyond that moment alone.

“There were a lot of opportunities here.” she recalled telling herself. “My videos started blowing up and brands started reaching out to me.”

Once Locklear signed on with an agency, her career was off and running.

Breakthrough Into Business

Locklear walked the runway at the New York Fashion Show and has walked on many others since. The tenacity and instinct to go back to the Big Apple so quickly are why Locklear is in the position she enjoys now. The moment validated her beliefs, and she doubled down by investing in photo shoots and going all in.

“I was willing to go the extra mile that a lot of other girls wouldn’t.”

Today, her total social media audience is in the millions and growing. She’s thriving in the business world as well because she brought the same standard into her ventures. Being a career model is a business in itself, but she partnered with growing brands like Gigli drinks and Sleepmaxx to connect her fanbase to products she believes in. She then joined forces with Victim15, with whom she is developing a line of bikinis.

“It’s my first time getting to design something that my audience can purchase. I’m so proud of it.”

Always looking for new challenges, she is developing her own personal brand, “CA$A KL,” which she is keeping quiet about for now but did leave a few clues worth paying attention to.

“It is a fashion brand, curated by me through all my experiences as a modeling creative.”

Knowing the principle of paying it forward, Locklear has made sure to give back to the modeling industry as a coach and provided other opportunities for women to learn from her experience so they could pursue their own dreams. She sees the chance to do so not as an obligation but as another opportunity.

“I’ve been able to mentor girls and see them get casted,” she said proudly. “It gives me purpose.”

Locklear has already been putting her athletic background and mindset to work with her own training and preparation to entertain, inform, and inspire the global audience watching her.

“I’m really excited about the Olympia. It’s going to be a whole new experience for me.”
