It took him 13 years to earn his pro card. Now, after six years in the IFBB, Bob Cicherillo has his first pro title: 2006 IFBB Masters Professional World Champion.

The 40-year-old displayed a package that was complete and classic with V-taper to spare and good conditioning.

In second place was Johnny Stewart, a bit of an underdog who gained the audience’s respect and applause throughout the evening.

Finishing third was Czech Republic’s Pavol Jablonicky, to a chorus of boos. Pavol looked markedly better in the evening than he did during the day show, which might explain the audience’s confusion.

In fourth was Claude Groulx, he of the stellar conditioning and dramatic posing routine.

The fifth place spot was filled by big, thick Stan McCrary.

The Over-50 Champion was David Marinelli and the Over-60 title went to 63-year-old Charlie “Arms” Urrego.

Cicherillo also won the bodybuilding.com People’s Choice Award of $1000, which he immediately donated to Shawn Ray’s CHOC Golf Tournament.

Kudos go to Steve Weinberger for producing a well-oiled show, despite the more than 100 competitors, amateur and pro included. Thanks to Chapman Media Group for providing the world with a live webcast of the evening.
