If at first you don’t succeed … well, you know the rest. So does Jennifer Buckles. In the first two months of the FLEX Bikini Model Search Online presented by Champion Nutrition, Buckles came up short. But she didn’t give up, and today Buckles finds herself on the way to Las Vegas winning Month Four.

It is the second time Buckles has finished in the top five of the online voting process, and the second time proved to be the charm. In all, more than 40,000 total votes were cast, smashing the previous record of just over 33,000 during Month Two. Buckles has now qualified for the 15-woman finals of The FLEX Bikini Model Search on September 27-28 during Olympia Weekend – and is one step closer to earning contracts with both Weider Publications and Champion Nutrition and appearing in the 2009 FLEX Swimsuit Issue!

With her Month Four win, Buckles wins:

– $250
– $250 gift certificate from Champion Nutrition
– $100 gift certificate from Musotica.com
– a profile in FLEX magazine
– a photo shoot with FLEX magazine during Olympia Weekend

The final month of voting for the FLEX Bikini Model Search Online begins on August 1 – then it’s on to Vegas! Submissions for Month Five are due by the 21st of this month.

NAME: Jennifer Buckles
AGE: 25
HEIGHT:5’7″
WEIGHT: 118 pounds
LIVES: Fort Worth, Texas

PERSISTENCE PAYS: “I was feeling very good about this month. I ran some stuff on my MySpace and my BodySpace letting people know about it, and I got a lot of positive feedback. I did pretty well the first month, I finished in the top five but ended up losing to Kyla [McGrath]. I entered Month Two but didn’t enter Month Three.”

SERIOUS SHAPE: “I played volleyball throughout high school. My senior year I got into weightlifting and started a kicboxing class, that’s when it really took off. I take it even more seriously now. I’m in the best shape of my life today.”

ATTENDING THE O: “This will be my first Olympia, and I’m super excited about going. My husband is a bodybuilder and a personal trainer, and it will be his first Olympia too. My top five is … Phil Heath is one of my favorites. Dennis Wolf. Jay Cutler is going to be in the running. I thought Kai Greene would have done well.”

FRIENDS AND FAMILY PLAN: “Definitely get a lot of your friends and family to vote, for sure. I didn’t recruit friends and family the first couple of months. I noticed a couple of girls didn’t start promoting themselves until the last few days of the contest on MySpace. Make sure to promote yourself early and often and let people know what you’re doing.”
