In 1984, a 17-year-old Vinny Galanti competed in the teen division at his first local bodybuilding contest (finishing last place). That initial setback turned out to be the start of one of bodybuilding’s best stories of dedication and perseverance as Galanti would spend the next 24 years trying to join the IFBB’s professional ranks, a dream realized in 2008. Tonight (Monday), on the 149th edition of Pro Bodybuilding Weekly, Galanti visits with hosts Dan Solomon and Bob Cicherillo as he prepares for his long awaited IFBB pro debut.
In 2008, competing in his 13th national-level event at 41 years-old, Galanti’s dedication was rewarded with an overall title at the 2008 Masters Nationals.
