In 1972, while covering The Mr. Universe contest for Life Magazine, George Butler began a journey that led to the 1977 release of a documentary film called Pumping Iron. The film not only chronicled the 1975 Mr. Olympia (which was held in Pretoria, South Africa), it also introduced the world to a young Austrian named Arnold Schwarzenegger and a determined 23 year-old from from Brooklyn named Lou Ferrigno.

Presented by MuscleTech, “Pro Bodybuilding Weekly” presents a special visit with Pumping Iron creator George Butler. Hosts Dan Solomon and Bob Cicherillo take a look back at this cult-classic and the overwhelming impact the film had on the sport of bodybuilding and the subsequent success of its two biggest stars, Schwarzenegger and Ferrigno.
