Think of it as an awards show without all the lame song-and-dance numbers. It’s the annual Flexy Awards, honoring the best bodybuilders in the world for their efforts inside and outside the gym.

This year’s ceremony will be held on Friday, October 14, at 1:30 p.m. in the Las Vegas Convention Center on the Olympia Expo’s main stage. Pro bodybuilder and host extraordinaire Bob Cicherillo will be cracking jokes and handing out checks to the tune of $5,000 total to this year’s winners. Each award recipient will also get a Niels Andersen “Atlas” sculpture, a beautiful addition to any trophy case.

Flexys will be presented in four areas: IFBB Athlete of the Year, (male and female), IFBB Male Bodybuilder Rookie of the Year, Most Improved IFBB Male Bodybuilder, and Outstanding Achievement, which is to be awarded to the individual whose leadership and actions best represent the spirit of bodybuilding and fitness.
