Floyd Mayweather Says He's Better Than Muhammad Ali

The legendary boxing persona had a controversial quote this week.

Mayweather-Pacquiao

Floyd Mayweather travels with ziploc bags full of hundred dollar bills. He has not one, but two fleets of luxury cars and he throws away shoes after he wears them one time. That's a roundabout way of saying that Floyd Mayweather is a cocky guy. We already know this, but that doesn't make his latest quote any less shocking. Mayweather made headlines this week saying he'll never be "brainwashed" into thinking he isn't better than Sugar Ray Robinson and Muhammad Ali. View the evidence.

In Mayweather's defense, he does give props to Ali and Robinson saying, "I’m going to take my hat off to those guys and respect those guys because those are the guys that paved the way for me." Maybe it's all just some extra publicity for his upcoming fight with Manny Pacquiao? The "Fight of the Century," taking place May 2 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, probably doesn't need more hype. That said, we're happy to go along with the ride.
