Looks like fastest man on the planet may have some serious competition in the days ahead. Actually, it’s more likely to be years, but that doesn’t mean 8-year-old fitness prodigy DemarJay isn’t up for the challenge today, tomorrow or any other day the opportunity presents itself. And thanks to his newly found internet fame, the determined little guy was given the chance to test his speed against the multi-gold, track medalist, Usain Bolt.

During his recent appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the confident kid boldly told Ellen that he “wants to challenge Usain Bolt in a race”—and that he could beat him “100 percent.” Well you can’t let a challenge like that fall by the wayside, so the talk show host made it a reality and brought the two titans together for a winner takes all race.

“C’mon, Usain, don’t be scared of me,” said the younger Jamaican as he approached the starting line. Check out the interview and the race:
