Last weekend, Collin Clarke, an athlete with Down Syndrome, made his dream come true. The 22-year-old competed in the Kentucky Muscle Bodybuilding Championship in Louisville last weekend, continuing a journey that has inspired many — including a four-time Mr. Olympia champ. Jay Cutler wasn’t at the event, but made sure to send Clarke a gift and a new bodybuilding mantra: chase the dream.

“I might break down like a little baby…I can’t really express it.” Clarke told local station WDRB News“Hopefully I can try to keep [competing], but it’s going to be hard to do.”

It’s been a long road for Clark, who just a year ago was out of shape and working a desk job at his gym. He became friends with personal trainer Glenn Uberhor. The two started a strict weight training and diet plan, Clarke lost 60 pounds and an Internet sensation was born.

“Everything that’s happened so far has exceeded everything that we set out to do,” Uberhor told WDRB.
