Friday, March 4, Columbus, OH – American Media Inc./Weider Publications is proud to announce contract renewals for superstar bodybuilders Phil Heath, Mamdouh Elssbiay, Juan Morel, and Steve Kuclo. The exclusive re-signings take place at the biggest early season show on the IFBB Professional League calendar, the 2016 Arnold Sports Festival. Here’s a snapshot of Team AMI/Weider’s marquee names.

PHIL HEATH – The reigning Mr. Olympia has been a Team AMI/Weider athlete since 2005. In a stroke of genius, the rising star in the NPC amateur ranks, recommended by none other than four-time Mr. Olympia Jay Cutler as the future of the sport, was signed prior to earning his pro card at the USA Championships. Fulfilling the prophecy with 11 titles, including five consecutive Mr. Olympias, the Gift is the undisputed king of the bodybuilding world. We’ll see if he can grab a sixth Sandow this September and continue his quest to be the greatest of all time.

MAMDOUH ELSSBIAY – Like Mr. Olympia, Elssbiay, better known as “Big Ramy,” has been an AMI/Weider athlete since the beginning of his competitive career. Shooting to fame after winning the 2012 Amateur Olympia title, Big Ramy crushed the competition in his pro debut at the 2013 New York Pro (which he defended in 2014) and placed 8th in his first Olympia that same year. He moved up to 7th in 2014, and 5th last year.  The universe’s biggest bodybuilder continues to refine his mass and promises to unveil a shocking physique at this year’s Olympia.

JUAN MOREL – Three-time IFBB Pro League champion, Juan “Diesel” Morel has been climbing the ladder since entering the IFBB Pro League in 2012. Morel will be flexing on stage at tomorrow’s Arnold prejudging and we look forward to seeing what he’s been able to do with a productive offseason behind him.

STEVE KUCLO – Former firefighter and EMT Steve Kuclo has been right on the cusp, with fellow pro Morel, as the sport’s next breakout star. With two pro career wins and the structure and muscle to stand with the sport’s best, Kuclo has been hard at work revamping his body for the new season and we’re sure he will not disappoint.
