Proving age is nothing but a state of mind, 54-year-old Rodney Hahn from Virginia Beach SMASHED two world records just after midnight on Sunday, Sept. 13. He now holds the record for most pullups in 12 hours (4310) and for most pullups in 24 hours (6737), and will be certified by Guinness in the next few weeks. Amazingly, Hahn broke the previous record for most pullups in 24 hours by more than 900 pullups. And while it’s true all records were meant to be broken, it may be a while before we see anyone topping these incredible numbers.

Hahn is a physical trainer of 18 years at the Cavalier Golf & Yacht Club, working with private clients through the club’s membership to reach their physical fitness goals. A former Navy service member on the USS John F. Kennedy, Hahn received his degree in sports medicine from Old Dominion University, and he holds certifications from Titleist Performance Institute and the American College of Sports Medicine.

The fitness enthusiast’s dream is to become a competitor on American Ninja Warrior in 2016, and we have a strong feeling we’ll be seeing him there sometime soon. The video above shows the final four pullups of his record-breaking effort.
