The Keystone Classic may only be in it’s first year, but the contest is shaping up to be one of the most competitive lineups of the 2007 season.

Johnnie Jackson, Darrem Charles, Dennis Wolf, Dennis James, Silvio Samuel and Branch Warren are just some of the big names slated to take the stage in the Stabler Arena in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania this Saturday.

Warren is on the heels of his third professional win two weeks ago at the New York Pro, beating out of James, Wolf, Samuel and rookie Desmond Miller. The win ended a disappointing streak of finishes for Warren, but was not without controversy. At the New York Pro, Warren trailed James by three points on the judges scorecards heading into the final round, but managed to come from behind and edge James after the posedown, a rarity in the sport. James, gunning for his first victory in the United States, will no doubt be motivated to avenge that close defeat.

Seasoned pros Johnnie Jackson and Darrem Charles, who did battle in a few smaller shows leading up to the 2006 Olympia, will once again stand toe-to-toe as each steps on the competitive stage for the first time this year. Jackson notched the first professional win of his career by beating out Charles at last year’s Montreal pro, while Charles turned the tables on Jackson one week later at the Atlantic City Pro.
