In an incredibly impressive showing, Iris Kyle has further cemented her dominance in women’s bodybuilding with a convincing win here at the Orleans Arena for her fifth Ms. Olympia title.

Thickly muscled, clearly defined and with a smaller waist than ever before, Iris was a popular winner with the capacity crowd.

Coming in second was the heavily muscled Heather Armbrust. Third place went to Debi Laszewski, fourth to Lisa Aukland, fifth to Yaxeni Oriquen-Garcia and sixth to 53-year-old Betty Pariso.

In the Fitness Olympia Adela Garcia won her third title with a vampiric performance that featured all of her signature split leaps and tango flair.

An exuberant Tanji Johnson notched her highest ever finish at an Olympia with second. Following behind was the statuesque Tracey Greenwood in third. The fourth place spot was claimed by Julie Palmer. Tina Durkin took fifth and Canada’s Miriam Capes finished in sixth. Mindi O’Brien, who would normally be in the running for top honors, went down in an incomplete flip that left her on her back. She eventually managed to get up under her own power.
