CAFFEINE

-If you wonder why caffeine is one of the most commonly used ingredients in fat burners, the answer is quite simply because it works. Caffeine aids fat loss by both freeing up more fat from your body-fat stores and boosting the number of calories your body burns. That means that you pull more fat from your body’s fat cells and burn it away.

FORSKOLIN

-This extract from the herb Coleus forskohlii enhances fat loss by activating the enzyme adenylate cyclase. This leads to a cascade of events that include activation of the hormone-sensitive lipoprotein lipase, which allows fat stored in the fat cells to be broken down for use as fuel.

GREEN COFFEE EXTRACT

-Green coffee extract is made from unroasted coffee beans. Not roasting the beans leaves a critical component for fat loss intact—chlorogenic acid, which works synergistically with the caffeine in coffee beans to burn up the fat that caffeine frees up from the fat cells. Several clinical studies confirm that supplementing with green coffee extract leads to significant fat loss.

COCOA EXTRACT

-Cocoa provides numerous ingredients that enhance fat loss, with the most critical being theobromine. This chemical is one of the active metabolites that caffeine is broken down to in the body. So it provides effects similar to caffeine on fat loss.

YOHIMBE

-This extract from the bark of a West African tree is a very potent fat burner thanks to the active ingredients yohimbine and rauwolscine (alpha-yohimbine). Both bind to fat cells and inhibit specific receptors that would normally limit the amount of fat that can leave the fat cells, enabling more fat to be stored. By inhibiting these receptors, less fat is stored and more fat is freed up to be burned away as fuel.
