Man does medicine ball diagonal chop during total-body workout

No matter how great your mainstay routine may be, put it to the side. It’s time to switch things up and start melting away that excess flab, which is most likely sticking around because your regular workout probably isn’t tough enough. This cardio-heavy, full-body circuit is about to change all that.

First, get your heart rate up with a round of jumping jacks, and, if you don’t feel tired yet, you’ll at least start sweating. A set of medicine ball woodchops will engage your core, while a finishing round of burpees will give you that total-body muscle burn.

Directions

You’ll do this workout as a circuit, meaning you’ll do each exercise consecutively without rest. Once you’ve completed all exercises, rest for 30 seconds. Repeat the whole circuit for 5-10 rounds.

Depending on your ability, you may shorten or lengthen the rest period. You may also complete more or fewer rounds.
