If it weren’t for boxing, Stephanie Yu wouldn’t be on the NPC stage.
Boxing got her into personal training, which in turn got her in shape and sparked her interest in competing. Yu had caught herself marveling over the women competing in a local figure show when a friend asked her why she wasn’t up there competing. A month later, she was up there … and walked away with first place.
Now as Yu prepares for each show, she goes into it as if it’s a new learning experience. When not competing, Yu is a personal trainer, and boxing and gymnastics coach.
