Paige VanZant Succumbs to Rose Namajunas

The UFC fighter admits she's got a lot to learn.

Paige VanZant suffered the first loss of her UFC career last night against Rose Namajunas on UFC Fight Night 80.

The much-anticipated fight showed to have fans strongly rallying behind VanZant, expecting her to add to her three-time consecutive winning streak.

After five rounds, the 21-year-old fighter left the octagon with a bloody face and a bruised ego, but demonstrated astounding tenacity and skill throughout.

“When I got hit, I got rocked pretty bad. I’m new—I gotta get my technique better,” she stated during the post-fight press conference. 

When asked about her physical condition, VanZant said that she was “sad but fine,” and plans to return to training with her team soon.
