What to wear on your way to work out

If you live in a locale like NYC where the temperatures have 30-degree changes from day to day, the transition from winter to spring and having in-between workout gear that keeps you warm without weighing you down is a must. Whether you’re pulling on leg warmers over leggings to and from the gym, running outside with headbands and neck warmers, or pulling on arm warmers to provide some surface coverage without adding an extra shirt, it’s all about layering. Here is some of our favorite gear that helps us stay warm on our way to and from the gym.

They provide mild compression with four-way stretch and have arm holes so they stay in place while keeping hands covered. The arm warmers come in a pouch that you can use to store credit cards or keys.Price: $38Where to buy: NicePipesApparel.com

The skirt features no-stink Merino liner which helps manage moisture and regulate temperature while a DWR-finished polyester outer layer offers protection against the elements. We recommend it after your indoor or outdoor workouts, and it can even keep your butt warm if you’re running in the cold and misty rain.Price: $130Where to buy: SmartWool.com
